We know that planning a vacation with children can be overwhelming. We’re here to help! Check out our recommendations below for fun-filled, family-friendly activities when you stay with us at Mahogany Bay Resort.  

The Beach Club 

Our private Beach Club is our off-grid slice of paradise. It’s located in a remote location exclusive to hotel guests, so you can be sure that you won’t find yourself on a crowded beach. When you spend the day at the Beach Club, your kids will have a blast splashing in the clear Belizean waters. The water is very shallow here and doesn’t have waves, so it’s definitely safe for children. Your kids will also enjoy the complimentary beach games, water toys, and kayaks. We’re happy to offer men’s and women’s changing rooms/bathrooms, outdoor showers, and a full-service bar and restaurant for your convenience.    

Resort Pool 

If you want to take a break from the messy sand but still want to let your kids burn off some energy, let them take a dip in our resort pool. Private cabanas and sun loungers surround this saltwater pool so you can sit back and relax while you keep an eye on the kiddos. Plus, it’s located right next to our Shaken Bar & Grill so that you can have snacks and refreshing beverages delivered right to you.   

Snorkeling at Mexico Rocks 

Do you want to take your family on an adventure that they’ll never forget? Book an excursion and go snorkeling in Hol Chan Marine Reserve. It’s located in the Belize Barrier Reef and is home to an astounding amount of fascinating marine life. If you’re bringing kids along, we recommend our Mexico Rocks Snorkel Excursion. This location is part of the reserve, but the area is shallower and has fewer waves. Plus, each of our excursions is led by experienced tour guides. They’ll assist you every step of the way and make sure that you feel safe and secure.  

Private Art Party 

We have the perfect creative hands-on activity that the whole family can enjoy—a private art party! Melody Sanchez Wolfe is a local San Pedro artist and wedding planner who has lived on the island her entire life. She and her team facilitate amazing art parties that they bring right to your vacation accommodations. They provide all the necessary art materials (paints, brushes, travel-sized canvas board) and will lead you in creating a painting masterpiece. The subjects are generally island or wildlife theme, unless you have a special request — just ask! This is the perfect way to bring home a unique piece of your vacation with you!
