Learn All About the Belize Lobster Fest
Since July of 1994, the Belize LobsterFest has marked the official kickoff of summer in Belize. Today, visitors and locals alike come together to celebrate this one-of-a-kind event.
When Is the 2022 Belize Lobster Festival?
The festival lasts all week long and starts with a Lionfish event on June 30th and ends with a block party on June 9th, which is the main highlight of the festival and is held at Central Park in San Pedro’s town center. The Spiny Lobster season in Belize opens on July 1st, and there are lots of lively beach parties and live music throughout the week.
What Can I Expect to Experience at the Festival?
Throughout Belize, Lobster Fest events are held in three locations—San Pedro, Caye Caulker, and Placencia. When you stay with us in San Pedro, you can look forward to beach BBQs, elegant dinners, steel drum band and dance performances, dozen of culinary booths featuring various lobster offerings, and an overall sense of joy and fun. The San Pedro Lobster Fest is a foodie’s dream! You’ll be drooling over all the options, from fresh-caught grilled lobsters to lobster tacos and kabobs. You can even embark on an exciting Catamaran Sail for the day to experience all the Caye Caulker festival attractions as well!
