What are the Mexico Rocks? This section of the Belize Barrier Reef is a shallow patch of reef located off the far northern tip of Ambergris Caye. It was designated as a marine reserve in 1978 and is now part of the Hol Chan Marine Reserve. A wide array of breathtaking marine life inhabits the area, making it a popular spot for snorkeling and scuba diving.
